Nursing, helping animals are goals for Fall 2019 Starting Out Right Scholars

The Starting Out Right Scholars (SOR Scholars)  program recently awarded two scholarships for the Fall 2019 semester.

Anissa Barragan, of Globe, Arizona was awarded $1500.00 to continue her pre-requisite studies on the path to a nursing degree.  Anissa successfully completed the Starting Out Right teen pregnancy support program while pregnant with her daughter, and continued to attend classes while pregnant and while nursing her baby.   In support of Anissa, her Starting Out Right case worker Charlene Becker stated “Anissa makes juggling being a young mother, working, and taking her classes out at the college look easy!”
