FAQ about Starting out Right

Currently, we are not offering in-person 1:1 or group classes. The virtual options we have now include live Zoom classes for our Healthy Pregnancy, Childbirth Education, Active Parenting and Find Your Future curriculums. We also have prerecorded videos for our Healthy Pregnancy, Childbirth Education, and Active Parenting classes. Finally, we also offer a parenting app. We work to be as flexible as possible during this time!
The SOR program is completely free and does not require any insurance or payment information.
Yes, we offer our services to any enrolled SOR participant up until they turn 22!
7-10 days after an enrolled participant gives birth to their baby, a Health Educator or Licensed Nurse will conduct a home visit. Normally, SOR staff only performs one post-natal home visit but we are flexible with most situations!
All participants who enroll in SOR classes and attend classes or other events receive diapers (10/person) and SOR dollars. SOR dollars can be used to purchase clothes, blankets, bouncers, pillows and other items at our baby boutique, Jensen’s Corner. We are supplied by donations and at times we do receive food and formula donations. Items are first come first serve while supplies last.
